Stewardship
Coordination held in common trust
Sovern Digital operates under a constitution that places the substrate in trust for the participants who use it. Stewardship means accountable governance, not ownership of the infrastructure.
Constitutional foundations
The substrate is bound by a written constitution that no single operator can rewrite unilaterally. Rights to fork, export, and inspect are not contractual favours, they are constitutional guarantees that protect every participant regardless of who operates the infrastructure.
Accountable operators
Operators act under explicit, revocable mandates scoped to particular capabilities. Every administrative action is attested and logged to an immutable audit ledger, so stewardship is observable rather than assumed.
The commons, preserved
Sovern Digital does not extract value from the coordination commons it stewards. Licensing, governance, and federation are designed so that participants can leave, fork, and federate without asking permission.
